Henry Laurens (1724-1792), South Carolina merchant-planter, was president of the Continental Congress, 1777-1779. Collection consists of journal of Laurens's voyage to England, his capture and subsequent confinement in the Tower of London, 1780-1781; and correspondence, 1769-1792.

Henry Laurens (March 6, 1724 [O.S.
